MSC Napoli was a UK flagged container ship that was deliberatly beached in Lyme Bay after she ran into difficulty in the English Channel on 18th January 2007. Harland and Wolff was awarded the decommissioning of the ship, the first contract of its kind for the shipyard and 100 years after it had built the Titanic.

This project forms one chapter in a longer term photographic documentation of the Harland and Wolff Shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In existance for over 150 years, Harland and Wolff continues to refurbish and shipbuild but has diversified its order books into areas of marine recycling.
